Economic Reforms – After the end of the Seven Year War, Frederick the Great paid attention to the economic progress of the state and the development of agriculture. आदिकाल के प्रसिद्ध कवि विद्यापति की साहित्यिक प्रतिष्ठा मूलत: ' पदावली ' के कारण है। पदावली  कि कई विशेषताएं हैं, किन्तु इसका केन्द्रीय विषय राधा-कृष्ण प्रेम है। यह हिन्दी में कृष्ण भक्ति साहित्य की शुरुआती रचना है, जिस पर जयदेव और चण्डीदास जैसे कवियों द्वारा विकसित शृंगार मिश्रित भक्ति का प्रभाव साफ नज‍र आता है। हिन्दी साहित्य में पदावली के विषयवस्तु को लेकर गहरा विवाद है कि इन्हें भक्ति विषयक पद माना जाय या शृंगार विषयक | विद्वानों का एक वर्ग मानता है कि ये पद मूल चेतना में शृंगारिक हैं। इस मत के प्रमुख समर्थक आचार्य रामचंद्र शुक्ल अन्य समर्थकों में रामकुमार वर्मा, बाबूराम सक्सेना, हरप्रसाद शास्त्री, बच्चनसिंह तथा निराला शामिल हैं। इस वर्ग के विद्वानो का पदावली को श्रृंगारिक रचना मानने- के पीछे प्रमुख तर्क यह है कि यदि यह भक्तिपरक रचना होती तो इसमें सिर्फ संयोग श्रृंगार केन्द्र में क्यों होता? ईश्वर के अश्लील वर्णन को भक्तिपरक क्यों माना जाये ? दूसरा तर्क है कि विद्यापति आस्था की दृष्टि से शैव- भक्त' थे न वैष्णव भक्त । उनको यदि भक्ति करनी होती तो वे शिव-पार्व...
