Note: Attempt all 7 questions. Section A contains questions no. 1 (Comprising of very short answer type questions) which is compulsory and carries 6 marks. Section B contains question nos. 2, 3, and 4 which are short answer type questions and carry 8 marks each. Section C contains question nos. 5, 6, and 7 which are long answer type questions carrying 15 marks each.

SECTION-A

1. Answer briefly the following three questions:

(i) What does the title of John Keats' poem "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" signify?

(ii) Point out the structure of a Shakespearean Sonnet with special reference to "Let Me Not to the Marriage of True Minds".

(iii) Who is 'She' in Wordsworth's poem "Three Years She Grew" ? Is 'She' real or imaginary?

SECTION-B

2. Explain with reference to the context question nos. 2, 3 and 4 adding critical notes wherever necessary.        8x3=24

(a) Such wilt thou be to mee., who must Like th' other foot, obliquely run; Thy firmness makes my circle just, And makes me end, where I begun.

3. (a) But Patience, to prevent That murmur, soon replies, "God doth not need Either man's work or his own gifts. Who best Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best.
